Who I Am

I am a social worker and nonprofit consultant by trade and a fervent advocate at heart. With over 25 years of leadership experience within the nonprofit world, advocacy is at the core of what I do and advocacy drives my commitment to helping nonprofit organizations carry out their mission while best serving their constituency.

I have successfully worked within the nonprofit sector, supporting nonprofits with training, technical assistance, and capacity-building on issues such as board governance, development and recruitment, mission-driven program and policy development, strategic planning, and grant acquisition and management. I also have a successful history of leading workshops, presenting keynote addresses, and developing curricula on topics such as: trauma-informed services, being an adult survivor of childhood abuse, disaster preparedness and response, forming successful multidisciplinary community collaboratives, and the importance of listening sessions to best serve a nonprofit’s constituency.

I approach nonprofit consulting as an opportunity to advocate on behalf of my clients and their organizations whether re-engaging board members, coaching executive directors, or writing a federal grant. I see myself as their champion and #1 advocate that has the best interests of the nonprofit and the people or places they serve at heart.
